NEW Voter Resources For 2020 Elections

The State Of Our Work

While the state begins to re-open today, at this juncture we are still not advising volunteers or VDRs to conduct traditional (person to person) voter registration work or voter outreach that involves direct contact with a large number of people.

We encourage you to continue exercising caution and act in the best interest of your health and safety as well your community.

New Materials!

We DO have new voter resources available including a NEW “Important Election Dates” Door Hanger and a NEW Know Your Texas Voter Rights card! (same helpful info as the brochures - more efficient design!)

**While we do not encourage neighborhood canvassing at this time, these resources can be used in your mailings — If you would like to request a free stack for your outreach work or for your advocacy group, please message us!

Door hangers and Know Your Texas Voter Rights cards are available both in English and Spanish and are available in stacks of no more than 100 at a time.

COVID-19 UPDATE: ON MAY 11TH, GOVERNOR ABBOTT ISSUED A PROCLAMATION DOUBLING THE EARLY VOTING PERIOD. EARLY VOTING WILL NOW BEGIN ON JUNE 29TH INSTEAD OF JULY 6TH. ANY DOOR HANGERS REQUESTED WILL BE MODIFIED WITH THE UPDATED EARLY VOTING INFORMATION.

More Resources

We’ve pulled together a simple social media toolkit for promoting Check Your Voter Registration Days and you can access that HERE.

We encourage you to use the graphics, sample posts and videos to share as a way to encourage Texans to make sure their voter registration is complete and current and to remind them there are ways they can register to vote that still allow for social distancing!

You may use these at any time OR you can join up with us on our next organized Check Your Voter Registration Day on May 11th and get to posting on social media!

**Not a bad time to write your state lawmakers and remind them why online voter registration is important in times like this!
